How many times have we seen MS Dhoni doing the trick for India behind the stumps? Though it is a regular thing to watch MS Dhoni with his quick hands, there is always something how MS Dhoni breaks the furniture behind the batsman. He had done it once again at Cape Town to send South Africa’s major parcel Aiden Markram back to the pavilion.
It was in the first over of the Kuldeep Yadav when he bowled his stock delivery to the South African skipper.
Markram who is batting sensibly till the time of the play tried to turn it toward mid-wicket by using his wrists. In the process, he lost his balance and stepped out of the crease which is the first thing MS Dhoni will look after.
As soon as he missed the delivery, MS Dhoni’s quick hands ripped off the bails in a flash of a second. It actually needs a replay for the spectator to watch how quickly MS Dhoni disturbed the furniture to give the horrible sound for the South African skipper. However, it was a perfect breakthrough for Kohli who is waiting desperately.
Earlier in the day, South Africa won the toss and asked the visitors to set the target on the board. Kagiso Rabada once again bowled a top-notch spell as he delivered a wicket-maiden in the first over of the innings. However, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli repaired the ship efficiently.
Kagiso almost sent Virat Kohli for a golden duck in the innings when he trapped leg before wicket. However, the lucky edge saved Virat Kohli in the end which made umpire to overturn his decision. Since then, Virat Kohli displayed his class by knocking the scoreboard meter often than not.
His astounding century included 7 fours which say that how keenly Virat Kohli worked in rotating the strikes and ground shots. However, as usual, his century once again broke many records in the batting chart as he notched a step higher to the rest of the batsmen in the world cricket.
The stumping also brings up the 400th dismissal for MS Dhoni to be involved. He is the fourth wicket-keeper to cross the mark.
