The Indian Premier League is one of the most celebrated T20 leagues in the world. It will not be wrong to state that the top cricket league is the best in the world in terms of the following and the fan base that it has. While the 2018 edition of the IPL is nearing the business end, the talks about the IPL 2019 has already begun.
There is a serious buzz about the 2019 edition of the league as there are chances of the tournament getting shifted out of the Indian soil.
Reportedly, the dates of the IPL 2019 will clash with the General Elections in India. The same had happened in the year 2014 and hence, the first half of the tournament was played in the UAE.
Also, five years prior to that, in the year 2009, the whole tournament was shifted out of India and was played in South Africa.
Now, a similar planning seems to be on the cards for the IPL 2019. The dates for the tournament’s 2019 edition are already out but the venues are yet to be announced.
This makes the above claim a little more obvious that the venues could be out of India.
What about ICC CWC 2019?
The 2019 edition of the popular T20 league will be played from March 29 to May 19. And at the same time, the fixtures of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 have also been announced.
The ICC CWC 2019 will run from May 30 o July 14 next year.
While there is no direct clash between the dates, the rule of the BCCI to have a 15-day window between the IPL and the international matches for the Indian team can make things tough for the league.
However, the catch here is that India’s first game will be played on June 6, which covers the 15 day buffer.
However, considering the fact that the board would want to keep their players fresh,
there is a high chance that the BCCI might ask the franchises to let the key players like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar be given rest ahead of the WC 2019. Matthew Tkachuk Womens Jersey
